Inci Nazlican Sagirbas, M.Sc. candidate

She has been a tutor in the department since October 2023 and is responsible for supporting teaching and outreach.

İnci graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Izmir Institute of Technology in Turkey. As an exchange student, she studied at the University of Ferrara and at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. She is now continuing her studies in the master’s program in Urban Design at the Technical University of Berlin.

Her work examines how people claim, name, and care for land through insurgent land practices, multispecies cohabitation, and eco-political justice, drawing on struggles for land and housing in Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, and Berlin. She co-leads The Earth We Tread, a Berlin University Alliance-funded seminar and research group that becomes a shared ground for collectively reimagining land beyond extraction.
