
Dr. Carolin Mees
Carolin Mees is an architect and researcher based in New York City and Germany.
She holds a Doctorate in Architecture and a Diplom of Architecture, both from the Berlin University of Arts, and an Intermediate Diploma in Architecture from Hamburg’s Academy of Fine Arts. In her practice, research, and teaching, she focuses on participatory, collaborative, and community-based transdisciplinary architecture and urban design.
From 2020-2022, she taught and researched as a postdoc with support from the Alexander of Humboldt Foundation at the Technical University of Berlin. Currently, she teaches at Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture and Parsons School of Design in New York.
