Wilding – Shifting Perspective to the Non-Human
Im Masterstudio ‘Wilding – Shifting Perspective to the Non-Human’ werdet ihr Tiere und Pflanzen als praktizierende Akteure von Landschaften in Brandenburger Raum untersuchen. Aufbauend auf den Text von Latour ‚Parlament der Dinge‘ werden wir uns mit der Subjekt/ Objekt Diskussion von Pflanzen und Tieren vertraut machen und im Anschluss neuen Parlamentsmitgliedern eine Stimme geben.
In einem zweiten Schritt werden wir uns genauer mit Novel Ecosytem auf Grundlage von Hobbs befassen und möchten mit euch gemeinsam diskutieren, in welchen Verhältnissen Novel Ecosystems mit Brandenburg und den von uns untersuchten Pflanzen und Tieren stehen.
Ziel des Studios ist es experimentelle Entwürfe zu kreieren, die gezielt Tiere und Pflanzen und ihr Zusammenleben mit uns in den Mittelpunkt des entwerferischen Prozess stellt.
Das Studio wird als eine Koproduktion vom Fachgebiet für Landschaftsarchitektur und Freiraumplanung und vom Fachgebiet von Vegetationskunde und Pflanzenverwendung angeboten.

Within the master studio ‘Wilding – Shifting Perspective to the Non-Human ’you will examine how animals and plants are creators of landscape in Brandenburg. Building on the text from Latour ‚Parliament of Things‘, we will familiarize ourselves with the subject / object discussion of plants and animals and use this new knowledge to develop alternative ways how to incorporate plants an animals in a design process.
In a second step, we will take a closer look at Novel Ecosystems based on Hobbs and will discuss together with you in which relationship Novel Ecosystems stand with Brandenburg and the plants and animals we have examining.
The aim of the studio is to create experimental designs that specifically place animals and plants and their coexistence with us at the centre of the design process.
